Francesco Rizzato begins taking photos in 2000, turning his attention particularly to nature photography.
He wins his first award in 2004 at XII Italian contest “Vincenzo Gallucci” at Padua, where he gains the best nature photo award.
In 2005 he enters the “International Photographic Competition on the Environment” by UNEP in Tokyo and gets the Honorary Mention among more than 32.000 photos from over 169 countries, only Italian photographer in addition to his brother Federico.
In the same year he gains the final step in Young category at the prestigious BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year in Londra.
He wins the second prize at digital contest “Giovanimmagine 2006” at San Felice sul Panaro. He gets the extraordinary Young First Price at “XVII Memorial Maria Luisa 2006” at Oviedo, in Spain.
In 2007 he gains again the final step in Young category at BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year di Londra.
He is a member of the FIAF Youth National Team that in 2007 wins the Gold Medal at the FIAP World Cup Under 21 in Belgrado.
In May, 2008, with the FIAF Youth National Team, he wins the World Cup at the FIAP Under 21 Biennal in Bratislava, getting the Individual Silver Medal.
In 2008 he gets several admissions, awards and mentions in Italy, including:
3° prize at the 43° Trofeo Cupolone in Firenze
Young Prize at the 2° Concorso Città Sambuca in Sicilia
Young Prize at the 3° Concorso Latina digital photo festival
Young Prize at the 17° Trofeo Città di Figline Valdarno (12° Gran Tour delle Colline)
At the 2008 ISF World Cup he is the third best author in the nature section.
In 2009 he wins the FIAP Youth Biennal in Slovenia together with the FIAF Youth National Team while in the following year they get the third prize.
In 2010 he wins a Gold Medal in the Special Theme “Lions Images” at Trierenberg Super Circuit.
In February 2011 he is awarded with the AFIAP honor from Fiap.
In 2013 he receives the EFIAP honor (Excellence de la Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique).
